Insurance is a promise. A policyholder pays a premium in exchange for the assurance that a benefit will be paid when it is needed most. The administrator who manages that promise carries a moral obligation — to ensure that premiums are correctly allocated, that claims are processed fairly and promptly, and that every policyholder receives what they were promised.
